Dressed in black at Wollaton Hall

Black is my most worn colour, I would probably have an entire wardrobe dedicated to black if I could! You just can’t go wrong with a black dress! I think one of the reasons I enjoy wearing black is because it contrast well with my fair skin, but also it’s very versatile! I appreciate the simple design of this dress, there’s not too much going on, which makes it look effortlessly elegant. The length also adds a little bit of glamour. Black is brilliant because it can make such a statement without much effort at all.

Can we take a moment to appreciate how beautiful this building is!? This is Wollaton Hall, isn’t is so picturesque? It has such a lovely park and if you are lucky you will see the deers roaming around. It’s such a brilliant location for a photoshoot which is why it was the first place I suggested when I collaborated with Ashok Suren, the genius behind the lens.

Ashok is a photographer based in the midlands, specialising in portrait and wedding photography. So if you are planning on getting married sometime soon, or just appreciate good photography, it’s definitely worth checking out his website.

Your dress and shoes are gorgeous! Love them both, and they pair so nicely with the architecture of the building behind you. I love all the old buildings in Europe and I really want to visit sometime.

Wow! The photos are so dramatic. I love the black dress against that kind of architecture. It gives a different feeling! And I agree that you look great in black. It complements your skin tone really well. I on the other hand rarely wear black. I just don't feel good about wearing black. And when I do, I make sure to add some fun colors. 🙂

You look absolutely gorgeous, girlie! I definitely agree, black looks wonderful on you! It does indeed contrast beautifully against your fair skin AND your gorgeous red hair! These are really beautiful photos – you work well with the (talented!) photographer. I really like how your elegant black dress contrasts with the faded grandeur of the grounds. Wow!

I'm actually wearing a high neck black dress right now as a right this! You can never go wrong with a black dress. It can be worn anywhere and always looks so sophisticated!
