My relationship with new years is very hit and miss, I think this is because I think too much. It’s natural to wonder what the year ahead will bring, and also to consider what the year gone by has taught us. A lot has changed in 2016 and I can only hope that the year to come will be a good one with many blessings. It’s important to look back and be thankful for all the good things from the year. We should always be thankful for our health, that we are here to experience another year with one another.
I believe that our health can be greatly affected by our emotions, one of these being worry, not to mention the amount of stress it causes. So I have decided, I am going to allow my 2017 to be free from the chains of worry and live with the following quotes in mind:
“Our fatigue is often caused not by work, but by worry, frustration and resentment.”
– Dale Carnegie
“If you want to test your memory, try to recall what you were worrying about one year ago today.”
– E. Joseph Cossman
“The greatest mistake you can make in life is to be continually fearing you will make one.”
– Elbert Hubbard
“If you treat every situation as a life and death matter, you’ll die a lot of times.”
– Dean Smith
“Worry is like a rocking chair: it gives you something to do but never gets you anywhere”
– Erma Bombeck
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.
I wish you all a wonderful 2017 and I hope this year is kind to you. Let’s start the year right with a positive attitude, making the most of the things that we have and the people that we have around us.
